Battle Gear

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Ephesians 6: 10-13 NIV

A while ago I did a study on gearing up for battle. And as any good Christian knows we have to put on the Armor of God, but what exactly does that mean to you, to me?

Let me share with you my thoughts.

Be strong~~in the Lord~~ inside the Lord, when I am inside the Lord I am strong. We usually think of it as meaning I have to be strong in my faith in Him, Wrong....when I am INSIDE HIM I am strong. He is Strength.

Be strong~~ in His mighty power~~same thing, when I am INSIDE HIM His mighty power is mine.

If I'm wrapped up in a blanket, you can't see me because I'm in it. You see the blanket.

When I am wrapped up inside Him, you can't see me, neither can the enemy. All anyone can see is HIM, not me.

Put on the full armor of God. Put on the full armor, of God. God is the armor. If God is our armor, why are we weaping and moaning, throwing little sticks at the enemy trying to defeat him in our own strength?

Inside God we have armor that is bullet proof.

Time for a happy dance!!

When we are In God we have bullet proof armor covering everypart of us. The flaming arrows, bullets, bombs, knives, or words of the enemy can not get through God, our armor. I don't know about you, but this makes me excited!!

In our battle gear, which is God, we can stand firm knowing we are safe. Nothing the enemy can throw at us will kill us.

Our armor is God.

Knowing He is our armor what do we have to be afraid of?

Man? Are you kidding me, God Scoffs!

Illness? God Heals.

Bankrupcy? God Provides.

God Resotres. God fights our battles. God wins our battles.

Every morning, before you get out of bed, step into the best battle gear available, God.

I can see the firey darts of the enemy falling to the ground at your feet.

Be encouraged, you are only alone in battle if you choose not to gear up!

Mu pots play tunes as well but I don't remember what. When I go to the lake this weekend I will see if one plays Tea for Two. I enjoyed your post and it gave me some great things to think about.
