A couple weeks ago my friends and I went to Cocoa Beach, on the East Coast of Florida.
Yesterday some of us went to St. Pete's Beach, on the West Coast of Florida.
The two Coast lines are completely different. Water, sand, sun, fish but there the similarities end.
The East Coast has colder water, choppy waves, should one want to you could surf, barely any shells, the water seems to get deep fairly quickly, and beautiful sunrises.
The West Coast has warm water, calm soothing ripples, no surfing, shell's everywhere all shapes and sizes, you can walk out quite a way before it starts to get deep, and beautiful sunsets.
Same sun overhead, same state, but very different.
East Coast, West Coast both beautiful, but different. Opposite sides of the State, East/West.
As I was thinking about the two Coasts the scripture came to mind.
As far as the East is from the West, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. Ps 103:12 NIV
When you are standing on the Beach on the East Coast you are looking at sand, and the Atlantic Ocean. The Gulf Coast is behind you.
Get in your car and drive several hours West on I-4 and you end up on the Beach. More sand, but it's the Gulf Coast you're looking at and the Atlantic Ocean is behind you.
When we sincerely ask for forgiveness and repent of our sins, God takes the transgression and removes it to the other Coast. It's behind us, and unless we get in our car and return to the other coast the sin is no longer a part of our coastline.
He has taken it and removed it. We are the ones that keep going over the past. Like we can change it by thinking about it. Should- a, could- a, would- a, just doesn't get it in the Kingdom.
Our confidence in Him should out weigh the need we have to keep revisiting the past. It's over, it's done and if we sincerely repented, it's on the other coast behind us.
Whatever you may be holding on to LET IT GO! God has dealt with it, He's removed it, stop going through the trash to dig it back out, it stinks!
Rejoice in the simple fact that He can remove our sin, and when we ask He does.
Now is the time for a Happy Dance!
Whatever the sin, He'll take it away if we let go of it.
Come on, you can do it, unpry those fingers, He'll set you free......
Dance, Dance, Dance!! Rejoice in the Lord always..

Rejoicing! Not only does He forgive, He forgets. that seems to be the part we struggle with.
ReplyDeleteI love to dance before the Lord with all my might.
ReplyDeleteWe just finished a study on the life of David, in my SS class today by Priscilla Shirer, Beth Moore, and Kay Arthur. It was typical of Beth Moore studies with the corresponding videos. Today Kay was talking about sin and God's grace. Her message was to stop moaning over past sins and offer them to God to use. It was a wonderful study.
Now I'm headed to your place for some beach fun. Let's go to the west coast. :)
