Battle Gear, Your Helmet

We are called to be Warriors.

We've been given a military manual of how to's that we are expected to read, learn, meditate on, speak of, teach, and live by.

If you think being a Christian is a cake walk, read your manual. We are told to put on the armor of God, prepare for battle, stand firm.

Just because we are "girls" and have painted nails, we are not excused from gearing up and going to the front lines.

No Girly Girl I know would think of going anywhere without proper accessories. This holds true for being deployed to the front lines.

One part of our ensemble is the Helmet of Salvation. Eph. 6:17NIV Take the helmet of salvation.

The helmet covers the entire head with only the eyes showing. Some helmets have vision goggles on them to protect the eyes.

What's in your head that's being protected???? Your Mind.

It's our mind that tells our unsaved body to get in line. The body follows, because it does what the mind commands.

Some helmets are equipped with audio for a direct link to dispatch. Unless the enemy can hack into the system, all the wearer hears is the voice from dispatch which is simply repeating what the commanding officer orders.

Our heart is tugged and convicted, but our salvation comes when our mind is protected by our helmet of salvation and our orders come through clearly.

We are saved, healed, restored, able to hear God's still small voice, able to see ourselves as God sees us, able to capture His perfect will for our lives when we have on our helmet of salvation.

Putting on our helmet of salvation, is the only way our minds can be renewed.

Putting on our helmet of salvation, is the only way our thoughts will change to line up with His word and His perfect plan for our lives.

What we are today is a result of our thoughts leading up to today. What we think today will determine our tomorrow. Put on your helmet of salvation.

Where God is, the enemy can't exist. Fill your mind with God's Word, with praise and the enemy HAS to flee. Put on your helmet of salvation.

When you actively, purposefully, diligently fill your mind with God's word your mind will become renewed. Put on your helmet of salvation.

Wearing your helmet of salvation will protect your mind from the lies the enemy will try to get you to believe. His arrows will fall short.

So Ladies and Gentlemen, put on your helmets. Whether they are camouflage, or pink and sparkly your helmet of salvation will protect your mind from the attacks of the enemy.

I pray as you read this you are blessed and will see the helmet of salvation in a different way.

Blessings,
